Typically, Vegas parties rage at a 10. It’s one of the premier party destinations in the world with world-class music and acts playing seemingly every night. But like many things, COVID-19 did the impossible and turned the music off at every Vegas dayclub and nightclub for over 3-months.
Slowly, the party scene is coming back. This past weekend, Marquee dayclub and Encore Beach Club opened as tamer (i.e. less fun) versions of their pre-COVID atmophere.
Over the next few weeks, this trend will continue, with Wet Republic Ultra Pool (MGM Grand), Daylight Beach Club (Mandalay Bay) & Liquid Pool Lounge (Aria) opening with social distancing practices and adults-only mandates in July. Wet Republic, Daylight and Liquid will open on Thursdays to Sundays and invite guests (reservations needed) at 11 AM.
Expect local dj’s, cabanas with bottle service, and lots of alcohol. Don’t expect the wild rager that Vegas pool parties are known for nor the world-famous acts they attract. Social distancing and limited entry will be the norm, so do expect to need a reservation.
Nightclubs as we know them will likely be the last to open, but Vegas is getting creative. Marquee will be opening the pool area on the weekends (Fri-Sun) to put the “life” back in Vegas nightlife.
This will include a live DJ, on Friday and Saturday night from 9PM to “late”. Again, reservation are required, so get in early if you know you wan to be part of the party.
Intrigue Nightclub at Wynn/Encore is now open on Friday and Saturday nights from 10 PM to close. Another pool area with outdoor areas that will allow an outdoor, nightclub experience.
Overall, the outdoor pool party vibe might be the best party scene Vegas is going to get in 2020. That said, we are excited that these are opening, as there’s at least a glimmer of hope that partying in Vegas will still happen in this crazy world of 2020.
