Las Vegas Shopping Guide

Nine shopping centers on and around the Strip — ranked by what they're actually good for. Luxury flagships, classic Vegas malls, outlet pricing, open-air promenades. No sales-tax-savings myth.

Quick Answer

For pure luxury, Crystals at CityCenter and the Wynn Esplanade have the highest concentration of designer flagships. For the classic Vegas mall experience, The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace and Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian are the two anchors. For department stores and mainstream brands, Fashion Show Mall is the most normal mall on the Strip. For outlet pricing, Las Vegas North Premium Outlets is the higher-end of the two outlet centers.

Luxury Destinations

2 destinations

Crystals at CityCenter

Where: Aria / CityCenter

Best for

Pure luxury — the highest concentration of designer flagships in Vegas

If you're shopping for things you can't get at a regular mall, Crystals is the destination. The architecture is the Daniel Libeskind 'iceberg' that anchors the CityCenter complex, and the tenant list is almost exclusively top-tier luxury — Hermès, Tiffany, Cartier, Bvlgari, Tom Ford. Smaller and quieter than Forum Shops or Grand Canal Shoppes; this is destination shopping, not browsing.

Notable tenants

  • Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Dior, Cartier
  • Tiffany & Co., Bvlgari, Bulgari, Harry Winston
  • Tom Ford, Stella McCartney, Christian Louboutin
  • Mastro's Ocean Club

Wynn Esplanade & Wynn Plaza

Where: Wynn Las Vegas / Encore

Best for

Luxury without the crowds, Wynn-curated tenant list

The Wynn shopping experience runs the length of the Wynn and Encore connector. Steve Wynn's curation shows — every tenant is hand-picked, the corridors are quiet and air-conditioned, and the brands skew to the kind of luxury that doesn't have a mall presence. Wynn Plaza on the front of the property added more recent brands. Best paired with a Wynn restaurant reservation rather than visited as a standalone trip.

Notable tenants

  • Cartier, Chanel, Dior, Rolex, Vacheron Constantin
  • Hermès, Givenchy, Loro Piana
  • Brioni, Manolo Blahnik

Strip Malls

The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace

Where: Caesars Palace

Best for

Luxury + accessible mall mix, classic Vegas shopping

The original 'shopping as theater' Vegas mall — Roman themed with the famous moving statues fountain show, three levels of stores, and a tenant mix that spans Gucci and Versace at the top end down to mainstream brands like Apple, H&M, and Zara. Open since 1992 and consistently the highest-traffic shopping center on the Strip.

Notable tenants

  • Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Versace, Fendi, Dior
  • Apple, Microsoft, Tesla
  • H&M, Zara, Free People, Anthropologie
  • Spago, The Cheesecake Factory, Sushi Roku

Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian

Where: The Venetian / Palazzo

Best for

Atmospheric shopping, gondola rides, restaurant variety

Two-level indoor mall built around an actual painted-sky 'Venice' canal with singing gondoliers. The shopping is similar to Forum Shops in tier — luxury anchors plus mid-tier brands — but the experience is the draw: the indoor canal, St. Mark's Square, the painted ceiling. Spans both the Venetian and Palazzo casinos so it feels much larger than other Strip malls.

Notable tenants

  • Burberry, Salvatore Ferragamo, Tory Burch
  • Lululemon, Sephora, Free People
  • Buddy V's, Sugarcane, Mercato della Pescheria
  • Madame Tussauds (separate admission)

Fashion Show Mall

Where: Across from Wynn / TI

Best for

Department store anchors, mainstream brands, the most "real mall" of the Strip options

The closest thing to a regular American shopping mall on the Strip — and a strength rather than a weakness if you actually need to buy underwear, makeup, or a swimsuit you forgot. Anchored by Macy's, Dillard's, Forever 21, and Nordstrom (depending on which wing). Open-air sections face the Strip with the iconic 'Cloud' canopy.

Notable tenants

  • Macy's, Dillard's, Forever 21, Nordstrom
  • Apple, Sephora, Lululemon, Bath & Body Works
  • Neiman Marcus (luxury anchor)
  • Cheesecake Factory, Capital Grille, RA Sushi

250+ stores

Miracle Mile Shops

Where: Planet Hollywood

Best for

Souvenirs, mid-tier brands, the cheapest mall on the Strip

The 1.2-mile-long indoor mall that wraps Planet Hollywood — the most accessible mall on the Strip in terms of pricing. Skews to mid-tier brands, accessory shops, souvenir stores, and chain restaurants. The center fountain show and rainstorm spectacle hit on the half-hour. Useful for actual purchases more than browsing.

Notable tenants

  • H&M, Urban Outfitters, GUESS, Lucky Brand
  • Sephora, MAC, Bath & Body Works
  • Cabo Wabo Cantina, Earl of Sandwich

Outlet Centers

2 destinations

Las Vegas North Premium Outlets

Where: Downtown — 875 S Grand Central Pkwy

Best for

Outlet pricing on luxury brands, the better of the two outlet centers

The downtown Premium Outlets is the higher-end of the two outlet centers in Vegas — Burberry, Coach, Gucci, Tory Burch, and Last Call by Neiman Marcus all have outlet stores here. About 175 stores, all open-air, easy 15-minute drive or rideshare from the Strip. Plan a half-day; this is a serious shopping trip, not a 'pop in for an hour' stop.

Notable tenants

  • Burberry, Coach, Gucci, Tory Burch, Kate Spade
  • Polo Ralph Lauren, Last Call (Neiman Marcus)
  • Nike, Adidas, Lululemon

175+ outlet stores

Las Vegas South Premium Outlets

Where: South of the Strip — 7400 Las Vegas Blvd S

Best for

Mid-tier outlet brands, lower prices than the North outlets

The southern outlet center is mid-tier in pricing — Levi's, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Carter's, Tommy Hilfiger, J.Crew Factory. Smaller than the North outlets (about 140 stores) and doesn't carry the same luxury brands, but better value if you're shopping the basics. Easier rideshare from the south Strip than from center.

Notable tenants

  • Levi's, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Tommy Hilfiger
  • J.Crew Factory, Gap Outlet, Nike Factory Store
  • Saks Off 5th, Adidas Outlet

140+ outlet stores

Open-Air & Specialty

1 destination

The LINQ Promenade

Where: Between The LINQ and Flamingo

Best for

Open-air strolling, dining, the High Roller observation wheel

An open-air pedestrian promenade — not a traditional mall — that runs from the Strip back to the High Roller. Think outdoor village rather than department store: chain restaurants, casual dining, a few mid-tier shops, and the occasional retail experience. The fountain plays at night, and the High Roller is at the back end. Better for dining and drinks than serious shopping.

Notable tenants

  • Sprinkles Cupcakes, Yard House, Hash House A Go Go
  • 12 South General Store, Vegas Vibe Boutique
  • High Roller (separate admission)

Things Vegas Shopping Guides Get Wrong

Three common myths that older guides still repeat:

Vegas does not have tax-free shopping

Nevada and Clark County add up to 8.375% sales tax on retail purchases. Out-of-state and international buyers do not get sales tax refunds. The savings on shopping in Vegas come from outlet pricing, not tax avoidance.

The Premium Outlets are not on the Strip

Both Las Vegas Premium Outlets centers (North and South) are 15–25 minutes off the Strip by rideshare. They're not within walking distance of any hotel. Plan a dedicated half-day if you want to shop them seriously.

The Mirage Volcano area shops are gone

Older guides reference shops at the Mirage. The Mirage closed for redevelopment as Hard Rock Las Vegas. Don't plan a shopping route that includes it.

How Locals Actually Shop the Strip

A few patterns from people who live here and have shopped these centers hundreds of times.

Browse the Forum Shops, buy at the Outlets

Use the Forum Shops as the showroom — try things on, see the brands you like — then check the North Premium Outlets for the same brands at outlet pricing. Many luxury brands have both presences.

Skip Fashion Show Mall unless you need it

It's the most 'normal mall' on the Strip, which is exactly the problem if you're traveling. Use it as the emergency button when you forgot a charger, sunscreen, or bathing suit. Otherwise, the experience is better elsewhere.

Shop Crystals during the day

Luxury stores at Crystals are quiet during weekday mornings and afternoons — much better service experience than weekend evenings when the connecting Aria casino floor is busy.

Pair shopping with a meal, not a club night

Vegas shopping is exhausting — these are big indoor mile-long centers. Pair Forum Shops with a Spago dinner, Grand Canal Shoppes with Sugarcane lunch. Don't try to club hop after a serious shopping afternoon.

Frequently Asked Questions

What people actually search about Vegas shopping.

Where is the best shopping in Las Vegas?

+

It depends what you're shopping for. For luxury flagships and one-of-a-kind boutiques, Crystals at CityCenter and the Wynn Esplanade have the highest concentration of designer brands. For variety and the classic Vegas mall experience, the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace and Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian are the two anchors. For mainstream brands and department stores, Fashion Show Mall is the most 'normal mall' on the Strip. For outlet pricing on premium brands, the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets downtown is the higher-end option of the two outlet centers.

Are there outlet malls near Las Vegas?

+

Yes — two Premium Outlets centers, both operated by Simon Property Group. The Las Vegas North Premium Outlets at 875 S Grand Central Pkwy in downtown Vegas is the higher-end of the two — Burberry, Gucci, Coach, Tory Burch, Last Call by Neiman Marcus, and ~175 stores total. The Las Vegas South Premium Outlets at 7400 Las Vegas Blvd S is mid-tier — Levi's, Banana Republic, Old Navy, J.Crew Factory, ~140 stores. Both are 15–25 minutes from the Strip by rideshare.

What is the difference between Crystals and the Forum Shops?

+

Crystals is pure luxury — Hermès, Cartier, Tom Ford, Christian Louboutin, Tiffany. Around 50 brands, almost all top-tier designer. The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace is a much larger mall (160+ stores) that mixes luxury anchors like Versace, Fendi, and Louis Vuitton with mainstream brands like Apple, H&M, and Zara. Crystals is destination shopping; Forum Shops is browsing-friendly.

Is the Forum Shops fountain show still running?

+

Yes — the Festival Fountain show featuring the animatronic Roman gods (Bacchus, Apollo, Plutus, Venus) still runs hourly inside the Forum Shops. The 'Atlantis' fountain show, the larger of the two, also runs hourly with rising statues, fire, and water effects. Both have run since the 1990s and are kept maintained as the mall's signature draw.

Is Fashion Show Mall worth visiting?

+

If you actually need to buy something practical — clothes, makeup, electronics, swimwear, suitcases — yes. Fashion Show Mall is the only Strip-area mall with full department store anchors (Macy's, Dillard's, Forever 21, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus) and a tenant mix that looks like a normal American shopping mall. If you're shopping for the experience of Vegas, the Forum Shops or Grand Canal Shoppes are more atmospheric. If you forgot to pack something, Fashion Show Mall is the answer.

Where can I buy Vegas souvenirs?

+

The Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood has the highest density of mid-tier souvenir shops on the Strip. Most major hotels also have lobby gift shops with branded merchandise. For unique 'Welcome to Las Vegas' photos, the original sign on Las Vegas Blvd at the south end of the Strip is free and accessible. Avoid sidewalk vendors selling 'I ❤ Vegas' merchandise — the prices are often higher than the inside-mall equivalents.

Can you save money shopping in Vegas with no sales tax?

+

No — Nevada has a 8.375% sales tax in Clark County (state base + county). Vegas is not a tax-free shopping destination. The savings on luxury goods come from outlet pricing at the Premium Outlets, not from any tax exemption. Out-of-state buyers do not get sales tax refunds on US purchases.

Is shopping on the Strip open late?

+

Most Strip shopping centers are open 10am–11pm Sunday–Thursday and 10am–midnight Friday–Saturday. Individual store hours vary — luxury boutiques tend to close earlier (around 9pm) while restaurants and bars in the same complexes stay open later. The Forum Shops, Grand Canal Shoppes, and Miracle Mile Shops all keep similar hours and stay open later than a typical American mall.
